About Us
Dating back to 1898, The 5T Ranch, (previously known as The Thurman Ranch) remains a working farm and ranch. The property has been in the family for over five generations.
In 2001, Kenny and Gena purchased this historic property to host private family events including camping, hunting, fishing, and harvesting pecans from the hundreds of pecan trees scattered throughout the farm. Now we are so excited to share this beautiful setting surrounded by local wildlife and nature with others, so you can spend time, with family and friends celebrating life’s most special occasions.

the venue
The venue sits on top of a hill nestled among beautiful, majestic Post Oaks and other native foliage on 180 acres of farm and ranch land that has been in our family for over 125 years.
The newly built 8,700 sq ft facility, to be completed in Spring 2025, is styled after the classic farmhouse and provides a vintage feel with modern touches. This picturesque facility is one of the largest venues in Cooke County.
The venue is conveniently located an hour north of Dallas, Texas, 20 minutes west of
Sherman, Texas, and 12 minutes east of Gainesville, Texas on US Highway 82.
We are booking now for weddings, corporate events, anniversaries, and other special
celebrations.
